Creme of Nature’s Pure Honey

Creme of Nature’s Pure Honey line—a collection of honey-based highly moisturizing products to care for and style all hair types is truly trending on the coif care scene. We caught up with celebrity hairstylists Tym Wallace and Pekela Riley behind-the-scenes to learn how they created some these sweet styles for the Pure Honey line…

Celebrity hairstylist Pekela Riley (shown above,  top) cleansed and then conditioned hair. Next, she prepped tresses for blow-drying using a few spritzes of Creme of Nature Pure Honey Texturizing Curl Setting Lotion. After blow-drying sections of the hair, the master stylist straightened tresses using a 1 3/4” bevel iron.

Celebrity hairstylist Tym Wallace (shown above, bottom) said that he was inspired by the Big Chop style of one of his favorite clients, actress Taraji P. Henson, and decided to show off glorious texture with this Two-Strand Twist Out. First, he cleansed and conditioned the hair. After towel drying, he began to two-strand twist the top of the hair using Creme of Nature Pure Honey Moisture Whip Twisting Cream. He comb-twisted the tapered sides for added body. Once hair was dry, Tym used an ultra-fast untwist technique before picking the hair out.

Texture is key and Creme of Nature’s new Pure Honey line allows Riley to create endless styles with moisture and subtle hold. After setting the model’s hair using Creme of Nature Pure Honey Break Up Breakage Leave-In Conditioner and Creme of Nature Pure Honey Texturizing Curl Setting Lotion, Riley released the spirals and finger combed them.

To enhance texture, Wallace created Two-Strand Twists using Creme of Nature Pure Honey Moisture Whip Twisting Cream and Cream of Nature Pure Honey Texturizing Curl Setting Lotion. Once the twists were dry, he released the twists and finger styled them in an upwards direction to craft definition and volume.

America’s Beauty Show 2019

Colorful coifs, amazing new products and trending looks…all were to be seen at America’s Beauty Show (ABS)! Held at Chicago’s McCormick Place earlier this past Spring, ABS is owned and produced by Cosmetologists Chicago. This show is the place where professional cosmetologists, nail technicians, stylists and colorists from all over the world gather to experience education and innovation in all aspects of beauty, as well as gain inspiration to take back to their salons. Here, we present just some of the style happenings from the show floor…
