He’s creative, he’s fun and he’s a true artist when it comes to hair. Acclaimed weavologist Steven Noss—a.k.a. “Weaven Steven”—has had his coif creations showcased on numerous platform stages, competitions, television shows and celebrities (Lady Gaga is a fan). This Pittsburgh native credited with bridging the gap between hair and fashion with a twist of art and culture has a new coffee table book celebrating fashion, art, culture and, of course, hair. Weaven’s World: A Journey with Fantasy Hair is a 158-page full color hardcover book of photography featuring fantasy hair designs.
Photographs range from fantasy hair weaves to hand-crafted accessories and extravagant coiffures set in locations such as Pittsburgh, Detroit, Miami, LA, Las Vegas and Memphis. “Weaven’s World exposes a wider range of audiences to the riveting, eccentric and multicultural world of hair fashion,” says the hair artist. “My advice to readers is to buckle up and hang on to your weave.”
