As we’re all counting down the days for TV’s Empire to return for its second season—and all the great hair and fashion trends the show will inspire—we turn the style spotlight on actor/rap artist Bryshere Gray. With a role that’s all about urban cool as rap superstar “Hakeem Lyon,” we wondered where Empire’s youngest son scored some of the luxurious pieces of his on-screen wardrobe? The answer is Persevere, also known as PRSVR, an elevated lifestyle brand with its newest retail outpost located on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. The brand features apparel, footwear, luggage and accessories for men, women and children. The red-hot Chicago fashion house, owned and operated by Brandon and Margaret Williamson, has also garnered support from celebrity names like NBA superstars Kevin Durant and Chris Paul, and recording artists Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Tyrese and Eve who flock to the brand for its urban design esthetics rendered in luxurious leathers and durable fabrics. “Our goal is to create stylish, yet functional pieces that complement a busy lifestyle,” says CEO Brandon Williamson about PRSVR fashions worthy of a son of Empire.
