  1. Vanity says:

I would like to know more about the Wen Healthy Hair cleanser.

    • SBH says:

Best bet Vanity is to check out the company’s Web site for more info about the brand–direct from the source.

  2. LelaNicole says:

I have long, extremely thick hair and I am having a hard time trying to find a product that really helps keep my hair healthy and also to keep it from drying out. please help!!

    • SBH says:

Lucky you LelaNicole…your hair sounds gorgeous. Deep conditioners (the leave-in variety) may be good to try as this will help moisturize your tresses. You should also consider protein treatments—followed up by an application of moisturizing conditioners—to help strengthen your strands.

  3. Roberta says:

    Hi,
I have medium length hair it comes almost to my shoulders but it will not hold a curl or will not lay flat for a bob so I am thinking about getting it all cut off. Before I do that is there any thing that I can use.

    Thanks

    • SBH says:

Hello Roberta: We answered your question, which you also posted in the Ask A Stylist section. Check out the answer there!

  4. kenya says:

Hi! I have been looking for a product to help with my dry scalp, I need some help. HELP! thanks

    • SBH says:

Hi kenya Try using a moisturizing, rinse-out conditioner and be sure to rinse the product out well. Skip leave-in conditioners, because they can leave a residue on the scalp. When styling, opt for light natural pomades and oils that do not contain alcohol. For great coif tips, check out the Sept./Oct. issue of SBH on sale now!

  5. shell says:

I didnot get a reply on the prouducts I ask about. please reply. shell

    • SBH says:

Did you post your question on this section of the Web? We don’t have a record of it here. Submit your question and again and we’ll see what we can do!

  6. Kit says:

I know it may seem old school but the two products I cannot do without are lottabody and salon finish foam. Together they work wonders for me. My hair is very thick (a lot of strands). Even though I have a perm, I can use these two products to wrap and style or wear my hair naturally curly. I found that it works that way on quite a few others too.

    • SBH says:

Hi Kit Congrats on finding the perfect product “cocktail” for your coif–and for sharing your finds!

  7. TK Kennedy says:

Page 102-103 in your August 2010 issue speaks about semi-permanent color enhancements for gray hair. What products are available?

    • SBH says:

Hi TK Kennedy: When you’re looking for a product that will give you the maximum blend/coverage longevity, choose a semi-permanent color that has a lot of conditioning agents. Sometimes, the chemical content of the haircolor can make color-treated strands look a little dry. You want a product that will not only blend with with your natural color, but also add moisture to your hair. There are a number of products available at your fave retail store. Select the shade you’re loving and make certain the label has the words “semi-permanent color” on it.

  8. Debra Small says:

Please allow your readers to know about Simply Curly by HPO Spa Treatments ,not a gel but a nourishing styling pudding for all those CURLY GIRLS who always complaints about frizz.

  9. back issues says:

I wanted to know if back issues are available. I’m looking for an issue from September 2006

    • SBH says:

Sorry, unfortunately once an issue goes off the newsstands, it is gone for good. We do not carry nor sell individual back issues of our magazines from our office. The only way to ensure that you do not miss an issue is to subscribe. Please click on the link on the right or at the top to get the subscription order form.
