“Nicki’s wigs are made of Indian human hair and I order them from overseas,” reveals Terrence Davidson, who’s created a wig wardrobe of custom-designed wigs for the star. “We actually have lace-front wigs designed by a manufacturer so they fit her head shape. Other wigs, I make.” How many does she own? “Nicki and I travel with a whole bag full of custom-made wigs! We like to have options.”

What about that cut? Lately, the rapper is sporting a shorter style Davidson describes as an asymmetric bob with full bangs. “It’s a classic, timeless look that frames her face perfectly,” he says. “Nicki’s hair is short in the back but long in the front.”

Now we have to dish on those crazy colors. Many of the rapper’s wigs do not come in the exact color she desires. “I have to mix a few shades together,” explains Davidson. “First, Nicki and I collaborate on some ideas. She comes up with a color. I like to think outside the box and go in an entirely different direction. But she does have the final say. I always mix and match a few colors to add some dimension so the final result doesn’t come out looking flat.”
