My hair is broken off in different spots on my head, and some parts are longer than others. Should I continue to perm it every two months? If not, what should I do? —Latasha
It sounds like your mane may be damaged from overlapping the relaxer cycle. This kind of damage is not easily repaired. I would suggest you give your hair a rest and allow the new, healthy strands to grow in gradually. Try using a conditioner weekly with a balance of protein and moisture. Since most of the damaged strands will break off anyway, get the damaged hair cut off and start over. You can then decide whether you want your tresses to remain unrelaxed.
