I’ve been wearing my hair Natural for the last two and a half years. While my hair has grown in really well and is very thick, it’s lacking in length. How do I get my hair to grow longer since the thickness is already there? I’ve already worn braids, cornrows, a sew-in weave and let it go in an Afro. I was told I need to have a professional stylist thin out my hair by cutting it, but I’m not sure. –KJ
Natural hair has a tendency to shrink, a lot. I don’t recommend thinning your hair. I do suggest that you try different methods of wearing your hair. Comb twists and Two-Strand Twists look really great on thick Natural hair. If there are any Natural hairstylists in your area, schedule a consultation and explore your options.
