Q
I’m in my 40s and my hair is shoulder length. What should I do to get fuller hair? —Lavinia
A
Thinning hair may reflect a hormonal imbalance. This is most likely the result of excessive dihydrotestosterone (DHT) conversion. Although estrogen is the primary hormone of women, it also produces testosterone and other androgens such as DHEA. As the body ages, women may begin to find out if hormonal imbalance is causing their loss, full range hormone testing can be done.
