My hair seems to absorb any moisturizers and oils I apply within a matter of minutes. I work in a lot of heat. What can I do or use to keep my mane moisturized under these circumstances? —Janice
Try conditioning with a rich, creamy moisturizing deep conditioner that will stay with you longer. When deep conditioning, use heat to get a deeper penetration. Use conditioning oil as a leave-in conditioner before you apply your curly moisturizer. Think of it as layering on fillers for your hair. Apply product section by section so you are not missing vital areas. Don’t forget to stay hydrating by drinking plenty of water; it helps moisturize your hair and skin. To know how much water to drink, take your weight, divide that number in half and that is how many ounces you should drink per day.
