I have a round face and light complexion. Most people tell me they would prefer me a blonde. I would love to wear a long black hairstyle. Any style suggestions would be helpful. —Muriel
I like the idea of sideswept bangs, and a round face will achieve balance with a side part. Try cuts that fall just below the chin. Soft, graduated layers are a great bet because they make your face appear slimmer and tend to remove bulk and weight from the sides. Consider wispy and tapered ends. Avoid one length, blunt cuts if you have short hair and curly short hair, which will only emphasize your face’s roundness.
If you have a light complexion, I suggest a shade in the light or medium brown family, perhaps even with highlights. These hues will be soft on your skin and play up your features. Dark black hair on pale skin can be a little severe because of the drastic contrast from light skin to dark hair.
