Tress Talk With Rogue Actress Bethany Brown

hollywood naturalista

You might recognize stunner Bethany Brown from The Audience Network series Rogue where she played the tough Detective Doyle of the San Francisco PD. We were able to chat with the Naturalista and get the inside scoop on her Natural journey and wearing her coils on set. Check it out…

Tell us about Rogue and your character?

It’s a detective series and heavily dramatic. In the beginning of the series they [“Ethan Kelly” and “Bethany Doyle”] are working on a case and it seems pretty open and shut, a simple case but then it unravels into something that’s more complicated and more complex.

How do you wear your hair on the show?

[They] just pulled my hair back into a ponytail. Hair is always a conversation on every single set that I go on to and on my hair especially. I’ve become very acquainted with my hair and also how much my hair expresses who the character is going to be. So, when I read [the] description of her I was like, oh she would definitely put her hair back.

What are your favorite ways to style your coif?

I would say my hairstyle itself. It comes out as it comes out and I just run my hands through it and I think throughout the day I’m usually grabbing my hair a lot when I’m thinking or processing or being creative.

Give us your best Natural hair tip?

Let your hair go through the awkward phase, your hair will get to an awkward length and you’re going to feel like, what do I do? Do anything you need to do to calm yourself down and get through it. You will get through it and then you’ll get to a point where your hair is big.
