3 Easy Hot-Oil Treatment Tips

easy-hot-oil-treatment-tips

During cold-weather months, it’s even more important to condition with natural oils to help replenish your mane’s moisture—especially for curly textures. A hot-oil treatment is any easy way to deliver moisture and conditioning benefits to tresses. Check out these three tips from Universal Beauty, makers of the Via Natural Oil for Hair, Scalp & Body Treatment line:

Tip 1: Double dose of oil…Using both Via Natural Argan Oil and Via Natural Olive Oil doubles up on hair hydration. Begin by carefully submerging both tubes in a bowl of hot water for about five minutes. Warm oil helps to penetrate the scalp easier and also helps with repair of split ends.

Tip 2: Treat the scalp…Separate hair into sections, and starting in the middle of the head, form vertical partings. Apply the warm Via Natural Argan Oil directly onto the scalp between the partings. Massage hair and scalp gently.

Tip 3: Treat the ends…Now it’s time to give mane’s ends a moisture boost. Apply sparingly the warm Via Natural Olive Oil to the last 4-6 inches of hair ends. Massage in the oil for even distribution. Since the oils applied are warm, covering hair with a plastic cap is not mandatory. Leave the oils in to penetrate for about 20-25 minutes then cleanse hair thoroughly using a sulfate-free shampoo.
