ORS Panel On Stereotypes & Beauty At Mega Fest

Your beauty is unique…and should be celebrated! Embracing who you are, your sense of style and self-expression—and sharing it unapologetically with the world—was the topic of conversation when ORS Olive Oil recently hosted a panel discussion on Black women and hair care during MegaFest17 in Dallas, Texas.

Panelists included actress Tasha Smith, relationship expert Love McPherson, Natural hair advocate Tiffany McPherson, CEO of Namasté Laboratories Shawn Tollerson and medical editor Dr. LaTasha Seliby with Kudzai Mutasa, Brand Manager Namasté Laboratories, serving as the panel Moderator.

The lively and informative conversation included panelists’ sharing their stories and experiences of how they have used their platform to defy stereotypes of beauty through their hair, fashion and daily beauty regiments. Panelists also discussed the challenges, the beauty standards and limitations often placed upon multicultural women. ORS Olive Oil, a leading hair care company, is on a mission to break stereotypes that women of color face about their hair. The ORS campaign, #NoStereotypes. encourages women to speak their truth about hair and texture bias with the hope of empowering women to see beauty in all textures and styles.
