Stunning songstress Chrisette Michele topped the charts with sophomore Def Jam CD, Epiphany. During our SBH photo shoot, we got a chance to catch up with this fun-loving star who isn’t afraid of taking hair adventures!

While hairstylist Keith Campbell puts the finishing touches on Chrisette’s slamming short cut, makeup artist JJ applies a touch of blush and the on-set fashion stylist makes sure Chrisette looks camera-ready. “I have been changing my hair every couple of months since I was a little kid in the seventh grade when I was first allowed to cut my hair,” shares Chrisette of her willingness to experiment with her style.

The chanteuse checks out SBH on the set of her New York City photo shoot. Regarding her hip coif, Chrisette says, “This hair cut definitely gives me the glamorous, girlie-girl vibe, but it also gives me edge! It is one thing to be a girlie girl and another thing to be an edgy girlie girl. My mom and I have been calling it risky glam!

Chrisette shares that her short cut is easy to style! “I wash and condition my hair before Wrapping it,” says the singer. “Now, I Wrap it all around my head, but I will do more of a mold where I have a part in the middle and then I brush it down toward the sides and all around.”
