CELEBRITY MEDIA
Beloved radio personality DeDe McGuire is known for her distinctive voice and witty on-air presence. During our SBH photo shoot, we turned the tables on DeDe, who is used to being behind the microphone, and gave her a front-and-center role in front of the cameras…
“When I first went in it was a little uncomfortable having the camera on me,” says DeDe of the photo shoot. “I’m so used to projecting my voice out to other people; now it’s like, ‘Uh oh, they’re going to see me.’ It was a little nerve-wracking, but after a while, I got into it because it was so much fun!”
A curling iron creates soft waves throughout DeDe’s mane on set. (Here the star shows us her curling technique!) Usually, though, the radio personality rocks a sleeker look. “The look is easy, and a flat iron works so well,” she shares. “I blow-dry and flat-iron it…I just go straight down and the hair is fabulous.”

Celebrity makeup artist/hairstylist Randy Wilder touches up DeDe’s makeup look on the set of the SBH photo shoot. “To me, less is more when it comes to makeup,” says DeDe of her makeup mantra. “Normally I like using powder bronzer, mascara, lip gloss and I’m done!”
DeDe checks out a fave read on the set of her SBH photo shoot—and looks gorgeous while doing it—thanks to a human hair weave. “It’s all 100 percent human hair. It’s the best hair for me,” says the star.

I have natural hair that I would like to straighten from time to time without the use of chemicals (perms) and heat which always break my hair. I read an article about Robin Givens ( in your magazine a few months ago) that says that she has naturally hair but it looked perm. I believe the products was Keratese (sp?). Can you please let me know what the products are and the process?
