Four of the six Black actresses of the James Bond movie franchise gorgeously graced the red carpet at the “Black Women of Bond Tribute” held at the California African American Museum in Los Angeles. Halle Berry, Naomie Harris, Trina Parks and Gloria Hendry appeared at the event which
welcomed a guest list consisting of entertainment industry professionals, celebrities and community tastemakers to celebrate the groundbreaking accomplishments of these women whose contributions to the international franchise have stood as trailblazing representations of Black beauty and excellence.
Trina Parks (Diamonds Are Forever) was the first African-American “Bond Girl” starting this profound legacy followed in suit by Gloria Hendry (Live and Let Die), Emily Bolton (Moonraker), Grace Jones (A View To Kill), Halle Berry (Die Another Day) and Naomie Harris (Skyfall, Spectre). The tribute consisted of a musical performance by Long Beach, CA based R&B soul artist Choklate and a first-look photo reveal of the women curated and presented by photographer Kwaku Alston.
